Leonard is a teacher, writer, and editor with more than 25 years in the publishing industry. His work has appeared in numerous national and international magazines and newspapers. He taught in northern Canada for a number of years and was Supervisor for Curriculum Development for a Native school board in northern Quebec for four years. He has a B.A. and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University and is a longtime member of the Professional Writers Association of Canada.
Kara Cybanski has a Master's in World Literatures and Cultures and an Honours Bachelor of Spanish with a Minor in Rédaction professionnelle et édition from the University of Ottawa. She is a doctoral candidate in Spanish and plans to become a university professor after graduation.
If you sneak into DC Canada’s office, you’ll find her editing, translating, designing, writing, or showing off photos of her cats. Kara also dreams of becoming a famous author and, with a few short pieces already published, is well on her way to achieving her goals.
A graduate of the illustration program at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada, Graham began his career as a book designer for the respected Canadian publisher McClelland & Stewart in Toronto, Ontario. Graham moved back to his hometown of Ottawa, Canada to contemplate his next career move.
It was in Ottawa that Graham began his freelance illustration and graphic design career, a career that has resulted in illustrations for such publishers as Orca Book Publishers in Canada, Simon and Schuster in New York, and Meadowside Books, and Random House in the United Kingdom, as well as numerous Canadian government agencies and private design firms.
With 25 years of experience, Graham has the initiative, creativity, and drive necessary to face any challenges and to illustrate just about anything!
